Windchill to ERP integration for a MENA manufacturer

Released parts and BOMs now flow from Windchill to ERP automatically, replacing manual re-entry by planners in three plants.

The starting point

Engineering released parts in Windchill, then planners typed them into ERP, plant by plant. Errors surfaced weeks later on the shop floor, and nobody could say which system was right.

What we did

  • Ran on-site workshops in Arabic and English with engineering, planning and IT to agree data ownership.
  • Set up the transfer of parts, BOMs and changes from Windchill to ERP on release, with plant-specific rules.
  • Added a reconciliation report and a dashboard that shows every transfer and its status.
  • Trained the customer’s IT team to operate the integration, with our team on second line.

Results

Every released BOM now reaches ERP within minutes, the same way for all three plants. Planners review transfers instead of typing them, and month-end reconciliation shows no unexplained differences.

Illustrative sample project. Replace it with a real, approved reference before publishing.
